Standby generators sized to your home, permitted, installed with the right transfer switch and tested before we hand them over. Licensed Florida electrical contractor based in Sunrise.
We work with Generac, Kohler and Briggs & Stratton home standby generators, so we can recommend the unit that fits your home. Tell us what you want running in an outage and we will compare size, fuel and price with you.
We install and service Generac home standby generators, including the Guardian Series. Generac units come with a manufacturer’s limited warranty, and we can set up the Generac app so you can check on your generator from your phone.
We install and service KOHLER home standby generators, from air-cooled home units to larger liquid-cooled models. We size the generator to your A/C, pool equipment and the rest of your load before we quote.
We install and service Briggs & Stratton PowerProtect home standby generators, available from 13 kW to 26 kW. We handle the sizing, the permit and the transfer switch from start to finish.

A standby generator installation comes down to five things: sizing the generator to your load, choosing where it sits and how it is fueled, getting the permits, installing the generator and transfer switch, and testing the whole system before we hand it over. We handle every step and tell you up front what your home needs.
We start with a list of what you want running when the grid is down: central A/C, the fridge, the pool pump, a well pump, medical equipment, the garage door, maybe an EV charger. Then we check your panel and your A/C equipment. The A/C usually sets the size, because a compressor draws a surge of current when it starts. In some homes, a soft-start device on the A/C lets a smaller generator handle that surge.
You can back up the whole house or only the essential circuits. Whole-home coverage costs more but needs no decisions during an outage. An essential-circuits setup costs less and covers what matters most. We price both when it makes sense.
Standby generators have to keep set distances from the house. Generac, for example, calls for 5 feet from operable windows, doors and vents, and 3 feet of open space at the front and sides. Local codes and your HOA can add their own rules. We pick a spot that meets them, keeps the unit out of standing water and keeps the wire and gas runs reasonable.
Most units here run on natural gas or propane. We check whether natural gas reaches your street before we quote. Without it, the generator runs on propane from a tank on the property, which changes the placement and the price.
A permanently installed standby generator needs permits and inspections from the building department that covers your address. That is usually your city, or the county in unincorporated areas. The electrical work is permitted, and the gas or propane piping can need its own permit. We submit the paperwork, schedule the inspections and meet the inspector. If the job also needs a service upgrade, we coordinate the service change with FPL.
We set the pad and the generator, install the transfer switch, connect the fuel supply and make the electrical connections between the generator, the transfer switch and your panel. Most homes get an automatic transfer switch, so the generator takes over on its own when the power goes out and hands back to the utility when it returns.
Before we leave, we start the generator, transfer the house onto it and confirm it carries the load. We set the automatic exercise schedule and show you how to read the controller. On Generac units we can set up the Mobile Link app so you can check the generator from your phone. Then we walk you through what the unit needs from here: scheduled maintenance and a check before each hurricane season.
One customer had a 30 kW whole-house generator installed by us in about two months, after other companies had quoted four to six. In Pembroke Pines we took a home from 100 to 200 amp service with a new generator transfer switch, coordinated the service change with FPL and passed the city inspection. And one homeowner called us to fix a generator transfer switch that another company’s subcontractor had installed wrong. We had it working before hurricane season.
A standby generator is the right answer for most homes that want the A/C and the fridge to keep running on their own. It is not the only option.
A portable generator hookup uses an outdoor power inlet and a transfer switch or panel interlock. You roll out the generator yourself, but the cost is much lower. It runs selected circuits, usually not central A/C.
For offices, shops and restaurants, a commercial standby generator is sized around the loads the business cannot lose, and the work is scheduled around your hours.
We will tell you which option fits your property and budget, even when the answer is the smaller job.
Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. After a major storm, outages can last days, and without A/C a house heats up fast. Plan the installation well before the season. Permits, gas work and equipment availability all take time, and demand jumps as soon as a storm is in the forecast.
Near the coast, salt air corrodes outdoor equipment faster, so we check enclosures and connections during maintenance. After an outage, an air-cooled generator that ran for days needs its oil checked and often changed. We cover that in our maintenance and hurricane prep service.

We hired Patrick for electrical work in our commercial space, and he went above and beyond. He was prompt, gave a fair quote, and kept communication clear the whole way. He handled all the work professionally, passed the inspection that was required, and even came back to make sure everything was perfect. Super reliable and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()

Patrick and his team were outstanding. When one of my breaker boxes started to fail, Patrick came out the very same day and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had a new breaker box installed and everything up and running the following day. Since then, everything has worked perfectly. What impressed me most was the professionalism and courtesy of Patrick, his nephew who assisted him, and another electrician on the crew. All three were knowledgeable, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. The highlight of the experience, though, was hearing Patrick's two employees talk about him. They both spoke with genuine gratitude about the opportunities he's given them and the mentorship he's provided throughout their careers. It's clear that Patrick isn't just an exceptional electrician, but also an exceptional leader who invests in the people around him. The world needs more people like Patrick, professionals who not only take pride in their work but also take the time to guide and develop the next generation. I highly recommend Patrick and his team for any electrical work. They truly earned every one of these five stars.Posted on Google![]()

It depends on what you want running. Central A/C usually sets the size because of its starting surge. Many homes are covered by an air-cooled unit, and larger homes with several A/C systems can need a liquid-cooled one. We size it from a load check at your home, not from square footage.
Yes, if it is sized for it. A whole-home setup runs everything, including central A/C. If a smaller generator fits your budget better, load management can switch off big loads, like a second A/C or a pool heater, when the generator is near capacity.
Yes. A permanently installed standby generator needs permits and inspections from the building department that covers your address. The electrical and fuel piping work can be permitted separately. We handle the permits and inspections.
The installation itself is the quick part. Permits, gas or propane work and equipment availability take longer. We give you a realistic timeline with the estimate. One customer had a 30 kW whole-house generator installed by us in about two months, after other companies had quoted four to six.
Natural gas is simpler where it reaches your street, because there is no tank to refill. Where it does not, the generator runs on propane from a tank on the property. We check your address before we quote.
We install Generac, Kohler and Briggs & Stratton home standby generators. The right one depends on the size you need, your fuel, where the unit can sit and your budget. We compare the options with you. See our Generac installation page for Generac-specific details.
It needs scheduled maintenance, usually at least once a year, and a check before hurricane season. We offer generator maintenance and repair for units we installed and units other companies installed.
